Adding a tilt rod switch for manual blind tilt at window

#1

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has considered adding a tilt rod switch to each blind to allow you to tilt at the window using the tilt rod. That way if WiFi is down or power is out (if powered using a battery pack), I’d still like to be able to open/close my blinds. All we need is two gpio input pins to signal up/down, I guess I just add a check/action in the loop function?

For the tilt switch I’m thinking something similar to the mysmartblinds tilt switch. It has the hook to put your tilt rod, as well as a location for 5v input for charging your battery pack which is convenient. Anyone have other suggestions for what might work?

Cheers,
Will
