#1

After starting searching for a smart house videos and activates i found this channel such a big help for starters to begin with.
also i have found many guides on how to make an ir remote to control many things, such as lights, led strips ,air conditioners, tv and so much more.
my request is to make a video or a guide on how to make a universal remote so you can record a number of signals ,sign them ,and control different items.
I love your work, looking forward for more such great ideas.

Use LIRC on your pi, it’s easier.

LIRC what is that? I also like to use my Google home and openhub to do this.

LIRC is a package that allows you to decode and send infra-red signals of many (but not all) commonly used remote controls.

Recent Linux kernels make it possible to use some IR remote controls as regular input devices. Sometimes this makes LIRC redundant. However, LIRC offers more flexibility and functionality and is still the right tool in a lot of scenarios.

LIRC
Google home can control anything in openhab, and openhab can control lirc.
